San Francisco - September 2026

A very hippie beetle on display

Some sights from around the office. Sunnyvale is truly the Mulhuddart of San Francisco, just with more sunshine

A late night stroll through Downtown Sunnyvale

And an early morning walk through Downtown Sunnyvale
On Friday I went to the Moffat Field Museum which had a bunch of NASA acquired planes. The museum was on the grounds of NASA's Ames Research Facility, which was pretty cool. The big Silverstream looking hangar was where the US Navy flew blimps from until heavier-than-air planes took off (pun intended)

On Saturday we were in San Francisco proper. I did a lot of exploring!

Cable car museum which shows the actual pulleys that drive the cable cars up the San Franciscan hills, and a turntable for the cars!

Views from the north of the peninsula of the main city

Made it all the way to the Palace of Fine Arts, which was obviously here from Roman times (not!)

The Golden Gate in it's glory on a modern camera and the Charmera!

We crossed the Gate Bridge to Sausalito on Sunday, and saw some cool bunkers and army bases in Marin. I stayed behind and had a cocktail before getting a ferry back to San Francisco while the car was returned

A cocktail and a ferry back to the city

Funky trams and tall concrete buildings in the financial district

San Francisco at night. The Ferry Piers, the Bay Bridge (same spot as the cover photo of this post) and a cool neon sign
There were so many Pokemon stops around the city, and this nighttime walk got me some cool postcards from over there!
The last two days were foggy, but as the sun burned off the fog it made for cool photos!

And a foggy final morning!
